A 11 inch plate has a picture of a gentle man and a lady in a waltz, with a flute player in the background, all dressed in the Victorian style of the day.

The plate edge has a banding in burgundy red with a 23K gold overlay.There is a band of gold toward the inside of the plate and there is gold scrollwork and flower pattern over the burgundy. There is some gold loss to the left hand bottom of the plate and a small spot missing glaze. It is not showing in the photos.

The hallmark reads "Imperial SERVICE PLATES by Salem China Co.", Made in USA and 23 Karat Gold & Warranted on the back in a red stamp.

This plate is from the 1930's and is excellent physical condition with no chips or cracks. There is slight crazing that is to be expected from a dish this old.

This beautiful plate would make a lovely gift!
