About UsI'm a retired dentist struggling to find something to do other than the "honey-do" jobs around the house. I have collected quite a few odd things over the years, not to mention the things I have inherited, and I thought I would try to dig myself out from under the "stuff". If I look very busy on the internet then maybe my "honey-do" list with get shorter.
I am the nephew of Alfred Wallenstein, the first American born musical director of a major US orchestra. I have so many items that he gave me from his years in the musical field. He was the director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra from 1943 to 1956. He began his career as a cellist and joined the San Francisco Symphony at the age of 17. He was first cellist with the Chicago Symphony from 1922 until 1929. Later, as first cellist with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, he formed a close personal relationship with Arturo Toscanini.
I will be selling some items from his estate, for example, some personal letters and books, some of his batons, some original tape recordings and photographs. I'll toss some of my collections in the mix.
Please stop by from time to time and check out my shop! Thanks....
