A fabulous Art Deco inkwell featuring a variegated marble base and a brass bird. The square inkwell balances this piece as it sits at the opposite side of the base and is adorned with brass bands around the lid and rim. The marble base itself has absolutely wonderful colors of whites and beiges within the black with a molded pen rest at the front. A vintage wooden base pocket inkwell featuring a copper top. The top is decorated with a cameo profile and has a nice verdigris finish. The interior shows its original porcelain insert. We believe this item to be hand made as we did not find a manufacturers mark. Measuring 3.5" tall with no issues to report. A very unique find for the inkwell collector.
