A vintage pen set featuring gold embossing against black bakelite. These are still in their original box that has ARPEGE - My Sin with 14KT Gold on the lid. A bit of history: "My Sin," called "Mon Péché" in Europe and introduced by Paris couturier Mme. Jeanne Lanvin in 1925, was discontinued in 1988. The perfumer was one "Madame Zed," who was apparently a White Russian exile who created a number of perfumes for Mme. Lanvin prior to 1925. "Arpège," also from Lanvin, was introduced in 1927. A very fine crystal bowl featuring a tear drop pattern to exterior with a flower on the base. We find the New York Central Mutual Fire Insurance logo etched into the center bottom of bowl. Since this is very fine crystal we presume that it was a gift to one of their agents? The crystal blank is made by Gorham in the Althea pattern. A silver metal pocket knife tool kit featuring the emblem for Winchester Rifles on the front. This particular piece has a small pen knife, a nail file and a little pair scissors. All fold into the nice flat case to easily slip into your pocket. We presume that this was a give away or novelty manufactured for the Winchester Co. Dating this to maybe later half of 20th Century? A vintage glass mug promoting Rochester Root Beer; which is etched on the front. There is a nice ribbed pattern to top and bottom and a heavy handle and base. From the J.Hungerford Smith Co. Rochester, NY. Measuring 6" high we find one small section with bites out of the ribbed area on back of mug. Other than this one small spot, this collectible mug is in wonderful vintage condition.
