A 19th century silver plate oval bread basket that features a pedestal base, pierced design on the interior and a Greek key design on handle and rim. There is an oval cartouche at top of handle perfect for engraving a monogram. Hallmarked by the Middletown Silver Co. which tells us that this dates to c. 1898. Measures 12" long x 8.75" wide and stands 3.75" high; to top of handle 9.5" high. Except for a bit of light scratching on the interior we find this in super antique condition without wear ...
