An antique silver stand featuring rose bouquets around the rim. We love the pierced basket weave pattern to this piece. Very elegant and perfect for pastries, donuts or 8" cake. Hallmarked by the Derby Silver Company and the pattern number of 01279 tells us that this was manufactured c. 1890's. The pedestal is solid and overall height is 5.5" with the cake plate measuring 8.25" in diameter. A silver plate footed butter dish featuring a band of flowers and insects at the base of the lid. The handles are ornate with a the Sun in the center of each one. Underneath the handles we find a bracket with more flowers. We hope you enjoy the pictures of the insects that we tried to capture. The detail is just amazing! You'll see brackets at one side that hold a butter knife. A silver plate creamer and sugar set depicting cracked eggs. On the bottom there are two ball feet and the back of each piece has a leaf shaped leg for added stability. These two sweet pieces are marked from the Derby Silver Company; late 19th Century. The sugar is a little bigger than the creamer at 6.5" long x 2.75" wide x 2.25" high. The creamer is 5.5" long x 2.25" at widest and 1.75" high. An interesting and lovely set which would be look wonderful on your Easter table.
