The rim boasts a beaded mold design and cut out handles at both ends and encrusted with gold. The center of the platter has been decorated to match with a gold enameled frame. Hallmarked with AK Limoges which tells us that this was manufactured and decorated by A. Klingenberg in France c. 1900.
