About UsOur Service Pledge To You:
Your order will be carefully packaged and shipped within 2 business days of receipt of payment. Since we live in a rural area, the mailing of a package occasionally requires waiting over a week-end or holiday in order to be sure the package has the proper postage and meets postal requirements. We will insure (at our cost) all packages.
All components of a custom piece are listed with as much information as is available about each bead or bauble with respect to description and age. Usually the predominant piece(s) in a custom creation are vintage (sometimes older) with a general time frame of the 1910s to the 1970s. Sometimes I use newer beads as spacer beads or to add depth of color or shape, and I will tell you when I do. Sometimes I create a custom piece entirely from new beads, and, of course, I describe them as such, still giving as much background as possible. Unless otherwise specified, my closures are new and are gold filled, sterling or brass. I acid test all vintage metals, and properly test all bakelite beads or buttons. .
All photos provided with a design are of the actual piece that you are purchasing and will receive.
My other vintage collectible pieces will, in time, range from braided hair mourning pins from the 19th century to gaudy plastic pieces from the 1950s and 1960s. They are pieces that we have come across here and there, and we will describe each as accurately as possible. If I know I will tell you. If I do not know, I will tell you that I do not know.
All original vintage or antique photograph images will be cartes de visite, tintypes or cabinet cards. Often these will be photographs of a subject wearing jewelry that is easily seen and identifiable with respect to style, e.g. a mourning brooch with an image of the deceased. This type of photograph is often collected by those who collect antique or Victorian jewelry or by those who design jewelry with a Victorian style or flair.
What better way to be unique than to make jewelry with components that have lasted from years gone by! It is an exciting feeling one gets from taking apart old necklaces and bracelets and salvaging the beads and pieces for use in a new creation. Sometimes, I get them still intact, and sometimes they come to me in bits and pieces. There is a special joy as i pick through my cache and select just the right beads to be combined in a formal or casual or chic or foxy...but, definitely, original design. Hopefully, you will smile with delight as you view my pieces with one here or there reminding you of something your grandmother or mom wore when you were small.
Thus, my vintage with a twist - or, twisted vintage jewelry.
All of my work is guaranteed. If you are not 100% satisfied, neither am I. All returns will be accepted.
Please, remember, I also create designs especially for you from your own vintage pieces. Just send me pictures, tell me what you have in mind, and we will go from there!
