About Us
My childhood was spent following along with my mother hunting for "treasures". We searched the Mojave Desert in California exploring abandoned miner/prospector shacks and ghost towns to find such things as depression glassware, primitives, early medicine bottles/jars, old stamps/postcards/letters and coins. We searched the hills of Tennessee and its many battlefields as well as old TVA excavation sites where we found arrow heads, old bottles, & civil war items. We also have searched the waterline and shoreline of the Indian River (here in Florida) and uncovered long buried 19th century glass bottles, jugs and jars. We frequented flea markets, antique shops, garage/yard sales, long established general stores and estate sales.
The hunt and then research of our found treasures has always been my passion. It's not enough to just find the treasure, I want to know as much as I can about it........who made it, when was it made, who owned it, what was its intended original purpose? Sometimes you're not able to find those answers, or perhaps not all of them, but that doesn't mean it's not a treasure. If I don't have all the answers I will say so and never make up a story.
This passion led me eventually to rent space in a local antique/collectible mall and then finally to open a shop of my own along with a friend. That passion still burns and I continue to hunt for treasures I hope you will love as well. If there is a specific item you've been hunting or items you collect just let me know and I just might run across it/them on my next treasure hunt.
