About UsOur shop offers eclectic collection of vintage and antique items such as antique German dolls and doll accessories, sterling silver table pieces, jewelry, vintage needlepoint, textiles and clothing, a magnificent Colonial Clocks grandfather clock. And coming in the next weeks are some lovely antique blanket chests, a French Empire commode and more.
Originally from Connecticut, we are now located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Since there are no basements or attics here, space is at a premium. While I've treasured these things from great-grandparents, grand-parents and parents it's time they found a new life in a new place. My grand parents had great taste and lived a more formal lifestyle moving from Connecticut to New York to Florida with the change of seasons. This meant furnishing multiple homes. Much of the silver was purchased at George Stern Co. - Jewelers and Silversmiths- 320 Fifth Ave, NY. I know this because many of the items listed are stored in maroon felt drawstring bags with the company's label. The antique dolls and doll accessories come directly to me from my grandmother. As a child we were only allowed look at them on very special occasions. Most of the time they were safely stored somewhere in that big three story house in Brooklyn. As I list these things, I remember how and where I saw them....a more elegant, calmer and gracious lifetime ago.
