About Us
Welcome to Rainbow Round My Shoulder! We have the distinction of being first and foremost collectors and lovers of many kinds of antiques and collectibles! This means that we have been on both sides of buying and selling transactions. We pride ourselves on our track record of excellent customer service and happy buyers! We know the thrill of finding that special item that you just have to have, and the pleasure of dealing with a good seller on the other end. We carry this knowledge into our own selling transactions and stand behind what we sell with a return policy on each item.

PLEASE READ - PAYMENTS! Because a purchase order puts the item on a hold where other buyers cannot buy it, we require buyers to please pay WITHIN 24 HOURS of purchase order unless other arrangements have been prior to the purchase. If you are unable to pay within that time frame, please "wish list" the item and come back and purchase it when you have the funds. Due to numerous non paying and delayed paying buyers, if NO payment is received and no reply sent to the purchase order, the purchase order will be canceled and the item will automatically be relisted for sale 24 hours later unless other arrangements are made with us. If no contact is made within 24 hours, it is assumed that the buyer is no longer interested in purchasing the item. A purchase order is a commitment to buy. We do use Ruby Lane's blocking system for non paying buyers, which will prevent a non paying buyer's future activity in our shop and possibly in other Ruby Lane shops as well. Thank you for understanding! :)

We no longer have the paper payment option in our checkout. This is due to the fact that at least 40% of shoppers who check out using the "money order" option have been disappearing and never sending payment; tying up the item for a week or longer. This is unfair to us and other buyers.

If you do not have a Paypal account, please contact us and we may be able to make arrangements for the money order option. Also, for your security and convenience, along with Paypal, we also accept GOOGLE CHECKOUT where you can safely use a credit card to fund your transaction for extra peace of mind. (Your credit card information is processed by Google and never shown to the store owner.) We have been using Google checkout for some of our own online purchases and felt it was so secure that we decided to offer it to our customers. (After checkout, you will receive an email with a link to Google checkout. :)

ABOUT SHIPPING: Your item will ship in 1-5 days after receipt of payment. Please let us know if you need an item urgently and we'll make arrangements to get it out quickly.

Prices are not negotiable after a purchase order is made; if you are interested in an item, please email all questions BEFORE committing to buy.

IMPORTANT ABOUT SALE PENDING: If an item is purchased, it will be marked SALE PENDING automatically by Ruby Lane until it is manually cleared at the end of the month by me. It does not indicate that your item has not shipped or that your order was not placed. :)
