Fine Chinese lacquered cabinet, made for the European market, in a well balance contrast of black, red, green and gold colors. It features 3 small drawers on top of a two doors and one shelf cabinet. The all is enhanced with nice brass hardware. Excellent condition for the age with some fading on the top. Seems to have minor restorations. Circa: 1850-1880. This is a typical Napoleon III Tantalus in ebonized wood. The brass and mother of pearl inlay is very fine. The inside is veneered with mahogany. A two levels tray with gilt metal handle hosts a set of 16 Baccarat liquor glasses, which may be from a later period, and an assortment of 4 different glass decanters also from a later period.
