About UsWe are Donna Young and Jim Broadribb. Donna is American and Jim is British. These are our legal names as it was just too difficult to change passport, social security, green cards, etc. when we were married in 2004, although you may well receive correspondence signed "Jim and Donna Broadribb". Complicated, isn't it?
After we were married, we started dealing in antiques and collectibles in the United Kingdom (England) where we attended any many antique shows. Consequently, we have built up a considerable knowledge of British antiques, particularly pottery, porcelain, silver and collectibles. We are well-versed in identifying and accurately dating our pieces by their marks. We have considerable experience in dealing with Royal Doulton, Royal Worcester, Staffordshire, Beswick to name just a few. In addition, we are quite versed in tracing the makers and dating British silver.
While in England, we had a display in an upscale antique center, The Quiet Woman, in Chipping Norton (in the midst of the Cotswolds). We also sold our pieces at various antique shows, including Alexandra Palace in London, which is a large International show.
In 2008, we took the decision to relocate to Florida and have now started to broadened our interests to include American antiques, although currently most of our stock is of British origin with a number of Oriental antique and vintage pieces such as Satsuma and Kutani porcelain and pottery. We also have a small selection of European items.
We take pride in presenting our pieces to the public, providing potential buyers with all information including detail on any faults or flaws in the piece. We are always prepared to answer any questions that a customer may have. We stand by our goods fully aware that our reputation is the most valuable asset we have.
