We were thrilled to find this wonderful Old (late 19th century) Sterling silver pill box. Unger Bros were/are World Famous for their incredible deep repousse, art nouveau designs. We've seen pics of this Indian Chief in full head dress, but we've never owned one before. The detail is amazing. We don't know if the soldered loop in the back was added later, or original to the piece. It must have been worn on a Chatelaine. Here's an Ornate Pierced Sterling Silver Basket, made in 1760-61, in London, England. It has an engraved crest at the bottom of the bowl, and is footed. It bears full hallmarks for William Plummer This Lovely antique measures 6" long x 5" wide, and stands 2" tall. It weighs 188.8 gms. Over 6 oz. Condition is Very Good. There are tiny superficial scratches on the bottom of the bowl, and deeper scratches on the very bottom. The handle is missing.
