Here's a remarkable Antique treasure. This was, we think, a miniature replica of a famous painting of the times. It is Beautifully executed with crisp detail and strong colors. It is a porcelain-enamel. The white, (visible at the very edges of the gold foil) is the porcelain body that the paint gets fired on, which makes it enamel. The background is 24 carat gold foil.
