Here's a Lovely pair of Sterling Silver Earrings Hand Wrought by one of NY's Celebrated Mid Century Artists, Frank Miraglia. They depict the popular Biomorphic Design of the 1950s. These Amoebic earrings are featured in Marbeth Schoen's "Modernist Jewelry 1930-1960" book (p. 118) as dangles with an added portion to hold the finding. They are fully signed for Frank Miraglia, and stamped sterling. These Screw On Earrings measure 1 3/8" x 1 1/8". Condition is Excellent.

Here is a Wonderful example of the Dynamic designing skills of Modernist Paul Lobel (1899-1983). Amongst the many credits and honors he received during his long life, Mr Lobel was joined by Calder and Bertoia in exhibiting at the first first Modern Jewelry Design show in 1946 at the Museum of Modern Art. Here's a pair of Dynamic Sterling Silver Earrings loaded with Mid Century Modernist style. They were made by Esther Lewittes. Marbeth Schon documents Ms. Lewittes's work in her "Modernist Jewelry 1930-1960" book, pps. 238-240. The backs of the earrings are clearly marked with Lewittes's hallmark, and the backs of the screw on mechanisms are stamped sterling. These Handsome earrings measure 13/16 " x ½" at the bottom.
