1930s Bakelite Racing Horse Pin ~ Sunset Colors ~ Horseshoe and Boot Dangles Here's a famous 1930s Bakelite Horse Pin. We don't think there are any books on Bakelite that don't feature this Beautiful piece. It's made of Rich, deeply carved Cherry Red Bakelite that changes to Butterscotch for a dramatic Sunset effect. The Boots and Horseshoe dangles are also carved, and have charming golden studded accents. The eye is glass with an enamel center.
