JEAN ROINE (20th century European art) signed impressionist Italian painting famous Rome landmark

Oil on canvas painting, 19 1/4" by 27" (25 3/4" by 33" as framed), signed at lower right "JEAN ROINE". This is an impressionistic scene of the famous Roman landmark Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge, along with the Castel Sant'Angelo by the Tiber River, complete with a number of figures crossing it and even a wagon of some sort. Not much is known about the obviously talented artist but his works have appeared occasionally at auction. The painting dates to the 1960's I would guess. Condition is excellent save for a miniscule bit of missing paint along one edge. The "castle" was built about 135 A.D. by the Roman emperor Hadrian to be used as a mausoleum for himself and his family, but over the centuries it also served as a fortress and castle, and today it is a museum. The famous historical landmark has appeared in numerous films, such as "Roman Holiday", "Angels and Demons" and others. This painting is ready for the wall. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
