About Us
Beautiful objects, art and history have always been a part of my life. When young, my grandparents and their friends would travel around the world during the summer months. With anticipation, we would await their return and the treasures they acquired for themselves and us. Along with each item would be a lesson of its origin and insight on the uniqueness of each artifact. In return for our gifts we endured endless hours of slide shows.
While in school, studies of fine arts and history were always my first choices and most exciting. During summers, I would buy for a friend of my mothers who was an avid collector and dealer. Of course I could never resist picking up a few treasures for myself.
During the years, 1980-1986, I worked as manager, buyer and sales representative for Cothams Gallery in Clearwater, Florida.
For fifty years, I have saved, inherited and collected many unique and beautiful objects. At this point in my life, I find myself ready to share in hopes of bringing each buyer a wonderful memory, a wonderful investment, a wonderful piece to add beauty and culture to your home and life.

UPDATE:School's out! I suppose after almost five years on Ruby Lane ,I should share of myself a little more.I am a chef by trade. After decades in the restaurant industry and running a small but private catering business it was time to stay home and raise the little ones.As they grew it was time to reenter the work force but I still wanted to make them my number one priority. You know,Summers, weekends and Holidays off. Then one day a miracle happened.A nearby school for special needs children ( ages 5 to 23 ) needed a food specialist.Well to make a long story short I got the job and 15 years latter I am still in love with it!It is my home away from home and a true calling,I belong there. There are many children on special diets and I love creating new and yummy dishes for them. The staff are amazing people, true angels.I have witnessed wheel bound to up and walking, speechless to talking and signing and well angry and misplaced to loving and caring.Soooo, when the students meals are fixed I can then really show off for the more than deserving staff.I also do job training for the higher functioning ones for placement in the food service industry. Thanks to all of you for making The Ruby Lane part of my life sooo much fun and for your business.
