About Us
I suggested Forty Fifty Sixty as the place where my sister's boyfriend should get vintage jewelry for her for Christmas. I had purchased jewelry online but never visited your store. WOW, it is SO fantastic in there, like a little treasure cave! We spent hours perusing the Trifari bracelets, Angela Caputi earrings and Miriam Haskell jewelry as well as the Barbie dolls that brought back so many fond childhood memories for me. My sister loves the vintage Dior bracelet that Ben helped her boyfriend pick out. Thank you for the first rate service and great vintage jewelry."

My name is Ben Cassara. I have been a serious doll collector for more than 30 years. My partner, Joe Bucchi and I would like to welcome you to our vintage jewelry and vintage doll store Fourty Fifty Sixty.

Fourty Fifty Sixty has been in business since 1991--evolving from offering collectibles, dolls, and jewelry at local antique shows in New York City and New Jersey to having a shop in the very successful Chelsea Antique Center in the heart of the New York City flower district, to a quaint shop front in Manhattan's lower East Side, and now moving to share our treasures in cyber space with our Ruby Lane Shop.

Ben is one of the nation's foremost experts on vintage Barbie dolls. He is frequently invited to speak to Barbie collector clubs in the metro New York area. They collaborated on a popular series of articles for the magazine entitled and written a popular series of articles entitled "The History of Fashion and Dolls".

Ben is happy to help collectors of all experience levels find the best resources about the niches they collect. Fascinated by design from a young age, he became interested in the lives and distinctive styles of jewelry designers from the Deco period to the present. With almost 20 years of collecting vintage designer jewelry for resale, Ben has become a recognized expert on such designers as Trifari, Kenneth J. Lane, and Miriam Haskell

Ben's vintage designer jewelry has been used on the hit Canadian cable series "The G-Spot" and worn by such celebrities as Susan Sarandon, Chloe Sevigny, and Brigitte Bako. For me, the pleasure is in finding an antique bisque doll with perfect patina, a rare vintage Barbie, or a stunning piece of vintage designer jewelry with an intriguing story. Visit our treasure cave and find a rare Barbie or rediscover the beauty of a pair of vintage hand made Miriam Haskell earrings that will be a joy to wear.

Vintage jewelry is one-of-a-kind. Browse and you may rediscover the beauty of a piece of signed designer jewelry that was worn for special occasions 20, 50 or even 100 years ago.

Joe and I prefer to purchase items/collections from the original owner so that we can get some of the life story of the owner and learn about a vintage necklace or unique doll.

My partner Joe has been retired since 1998, having spent over 35 years in the fashion industry. Joe devotes much of his time to doing the behind-the-scenes work that makes our Ruby Lane, vintage doll and jewelry store run smoothly.
