About Eve Dove Gems

Our Service Pledge To You:
Every item offered for sale by the Eve Dove Gems shop on Ruby Lane is guaranteed to be as described and photographed. We will be as accurate as possible. Eve Dove Gagnon is an accredited Gemologist, Canadian Institute of Gemology, 1989. All Gemstones and Precious natural materials are tested in our Gemological Laboratory prior to being offered for sale. We want you to be pleased and satisfied with any purchase you make from us and we will work to make shopping with us a great experience.

About Us
Our preferred method of accepting payment is through Pay Pal in US or Canadian Dollars. Our shop can accept VISA or MC numbers over the telephone. We can only charge in Canadian Dollars, we use Pay Pal's Exchange Rate.

We have a thousand lovely and interesting items of antique and vintage jewelry and smalls and not enough time to show them all so e-mail us with requests if you are looking for a particular piece or specific category of antique and vintage jewelry, lace, textiles, sewing items, smalls, etc. We add countless recently acquired lovely bits to our inventory regularly and I'll soon be adding some of these rarities into my Ruby Lane shop for you to see.

Originally from NYC, I've lived in, and operated antiques & boutique shops in NYC; Hollywood, Ca; Aspen, Colo; and Vancouver, BC. My husband R.Paul Gagnon and I moved from Vancouver to the idyllic Shuswap Lake area of beautiful British Columbia in 1992.

Studying Design for Theater in College led to off-Broadway costume designing and then to fashion design- with a theatrical flare. For ten years my couture focus was creating wedding gowns. I've designed textile, wall and floor-covering patterns and been making things with my hands since - forever.

Out of my studies of historical periods and styles grew a passion for antiques, particularly antique jewelry, accessories and all the decorative paraphernalia from ages past. Did I say: "We love jewelry!".

In 1989 I received my Diploma as a Gemologist from the Canadian Institute of Gemology which has given me the knowledge and tools required to offer gemstone and diamond jewelry for sale with authority and confidence.

Paul and I have been selling antique and vintage estate jewelry, purses, Vesta cases, vanity items, and so forth, at all the major antique shows in Western Canada since 1987. We carry a dazzling array of fine and costume, vintage and antique jewelry and collectibles.

We guarantee that every piece you purchase from us is as we indicate in our photos and descriptions. We work hard to be accurate, therefore, any damage, wear, or repair will be noted.

Received the appraisal last week and had the ring looked at by a GIA graduate gemologist last Monday. I love the ring and it is more beautiful than the pictures. I am extremely pleased with the transaction and very satisfied with the emerald ring. Now all I have to do is to have it resized to 8 and everything should be good. Thank you very much!

Thank you for the confirmation email and for the flexibility to use different types of payment; using either Pay Pal or giving you the card numbers over the phone means I get the brooch that much sooner (YAY). I feel very comfortable in calling you with the credit card numbers when I get home; it is looking like it will be Thursday afternoon. And I am very interested in seeing earrings that will complement the brooch; when you get the chance would it be possible to send me a picture of them?
