Set/4 Aesthetic Brown / Pink Transferware Rimmed Soup Plates - 1882
Manufactured by William Brownfield & Sons, a Staffordshire Pottery in England, with the impressed mark dating the manufacture to 1882. Manufactured for the Victorian retailer, Davis Collamore & Co., in New York City, this lovely set of four Victorian soup plates each feature a dotted and mosaic-like pink transfer pattern around the rim with a repeating classical border in a brown transfer that encircles the interior walls. Tasteful rings of gilding finish off each piece and add to their beauty
With the standard manufacturer's stilt marks on the rim they measure approximately 9¼" in diameter and are in overall excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
