About UsV. L. Murphy Vintage & Estate specializes in signed designer costume jewelry as well as estate and vintage fine jewelry. I also carry vintage and estate sterling and some decorative items. I have sold on Ruby Lane sites since August 2011. I have worked in direct retail sales for over 30 years in higher end galleries, antique shops and jewelry stores.
Accepted methods of payment are Paypal, most credit cards through Paypal, (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and personal checks. If you do not have a Paypal account you can still purchase using Paypal. Simply click the Paypal option during checkout after your order is submitted. Click the "Pay Now" button and this brings you to a Paypal window. To the left, please notice "Don't have a Paypal Account?", you will click on this. It will guide you to make a payment with a major credit card without having to establish a Paypal account.
Also, I will be happy to process orders over the phone through my shop's secure credit card system. Call me at 919-607-2537 and leave your name and phone number. I will do my best to return your call within 24 hours. I will ask for your name, credit card information and expiration date, etc. I will write this info on a slip of paper which I can include in your package or it can be shredded, your preference.
My return policy follows Ruby Lane's standard 3 day return from date of receipt. I track each package and go by the date the tracking shows the package was delivered. If you decide to return your purchase, please notify me within 3 days from receipt of item and then return the item within 1 week upon receipt of item. You will need to purchase tracking and insurance when returning merchandise.
Restocking Fee Policy:
No restocking fee when notified within 3 days of receipt and returned within 7 days. If I do not hear from you after 3 days, I will finalize the sale. If something is being purchased for a special occasion beyond 3 days, please let me know at purchase (i.e., birthdays, anniversaries and holidays).
I offer lay-away on all items. Lay-away plans can be designed around budgets. Typical lay-away plans are 25-30% deposit with 60 days to pay in full. A 60 day lay-away would have the 25-30% deposit with the remaining balance split in half and paid every 30 days over a total of 60 days. A 90 day lay-away would have the 25-30% deposit with the remaining balance split into 3 payments paid every 30 days over a total of 90 days. Longer lay-aways up to 5 months are available as well. Thirty and 60 day returned lay-away items have a 20% restocking fee. Longer lay-aways, 90 days and over, will be issued store credit only.
If you decide you want to make a purchase on lay-away, complete the purchase order and email me asking for the lay-away plan you are interested in. I will send you an invoice from Paypal with your first billing for the deposit. You will pay from that invoice. Every 30 days, you will receive another invoice from Paypal for that months billing. If you want to use another method of payment to pay your lay-away, that is fine. Please let me know at time of purchase (personal check, phone in credit card). From time to time, I have my own shop sales that usually involve a discount across the board. I do not change the prices until the customer completes the purchase order. Once you have done that, wait to receive a revised purchase order showing your discount. You will pay from this second purchase order.
