Crown Trifari Brooch/Pin by Designer Alfred Philippe – Book Piece

This remarkable Crown Trifari brooch/pin is from the 1950’s and was designed by Alfred Philippe. This brooch/pin is featured in Julia C. Carroll’s book “Collecting Costume Jewelry 202”. The design is called Twinkle.

This brooch is set with clear crystal rhinestones in three shapes: diamond, round and baguette; and is set in a silver tone metal. At the top of the brooch pin there are stars; each of which has six points made with clear crystal rhinestones. At the center of the stars there is a silver tone round bead. On the left hand side is a circular design made of three dimensional crystal baguettes that circle around two tails that emerge from the stars. The tails are furbished with baguettes made of crystal rhinestones.

The brooch/pin is 2 3/8” in length and 1 1/2” in height. This brooch/pin sparkles, glitters, and dazzles. One can well see why it was named twinkle.
