About Us
Decoratifs specializes in European ceramics from the Art Deco era. Its proprietor, Lois Lembo, was attracted to the design and varied form of pieces from the 1920s and 30s, when young artists and designers flocked to European studios to show the world something entirely new and exciting. The Art Deco era was all too brief, cut short by Hitlerď¾'s rise to power.

Lois turned her lifelong passion for collecting into a business when she left her job as a government consultant because of disability. She opened two brick and mortar shops and her first shop on Ruby Lane in 1999. The shops were closed along the way so Lois could devote her full energy to Decoratifs.

To keep things interesting, Art Deco pieces are supplemented by fine ceramics from the Art Nouveau through Modernist eras, as well as myriad collectibles from her former antique shops. She hopes that this variety makes for an enjoyable shopping experience for returning as well as new customers.
