About UsI am a gemologist as well as a dealer in fine antique and period jewelry. My goal is to combine a keen eye for beautiful jewelry with a gemologist's knowledge and understanding, to ensure every item offered in my shop is both beautiful and authentic. I have earned the top two gemology diplomas in the world: The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Graduate Gemologist Diploma, and the British Gemmological Association's Fellowship, or FGA (yes, they spell gemology with two "M's" over there). Most importantly, for you, the client, my gemology credentials mean that every piece of jewelry that I sell has been carefully and professionally tested and evaluated. On the aesthetic side, my many years in the visual arts has trained my eye to find and appreciate beautiful pieces. My mission, at Crystal River Gallery, is to bring you beautiful period and antique jewelry you'll love to own and to wear.

About Our Name:
Some of the finest diamonds ever found are found in ancient rivers, or in dried river beds that flowed millennia ago. They are called "alluvial diamonds," and they have traveled from their original home deep within the earth's crust, transported by streams and rivers over millions of years to their final hiding places. They are the crystals of the river.
