About Us
I have been restoring and selling antique lighting for over 35 years at my shop in Cambridge Massachusetts. I specialize in wall sconces and ceiling fixtures but have table and floor lamps. too. In addition, I sell shades from my collection of over 2000 antique gas, oil and electric glass shades. Out of the shop, we do service restoration as well. In the shop, I have over 300 ceiling lights, over 500 wall sconces. I also sell on my web site.

We restore the lights in a number of different ways. If the original finish is attractive and no pieces need to be added or repaired we simply wash the light, maybe polish in a few highlights, reseal it with a lacquer if necessary, and rewire it. At the other end of the spectrum if the light is in very bad condition, has broken or missing parts, we fix all this and completely refinish the light polishing it to a high shine or putting a new chemical patina. Some lights are repainted if that is appropriate. Missing parts may be recast or replaced from our extensive collection of antique parts. Whatever is necessary to make the light right. When we do an extensive restoration on a light such as described, we always endeavor to stay true to the original design and intent of the piece.
