About UsWelcome to my shop!
I have been buying and selling antiques for over 30 years. After graduating with a four-year degree in psychology, I went to work in industry for a few years before creating my own business buying and selling antiques. My travels took me to Paris, France where I rented an apartment for 3 years. My apartment was located on the sixth floor and there was no elevator, but I had the great pleasure of watching the sun set behind the Eiffel Tower most nights. Here I lived the life of a French "antiquaire". I went to the flea markets at 4:30 a.m. with my flashlight and attended auctions on a daily basis. I became proficient regarding the "ins and outs" of the French antiques system.
While living in France, I discovered the French loved our American quilts. I then began to organize auction sales of vintage American quilts in Paris, France. I now hold the title of "Expert" for American quilts in the French auction system.
About four years ago, I took a sabbatical from my business. I have now returned to the business with a new enthusiasm. I recently heard from a former customer who said “ I purchased a wonderful quilt from you several years ago, that I still treasure!". Another told me “Your website was always a favorite”.
For 40 years I have enjoyed my circa 1860 home in Upstate New York. I didn’t know it at the time I purchased it, but we share the same name....Bonnie. "Blinkbonnie" is the name given the house in the 19th century. I am happy and proud to report that it was accepted to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. My home has been featured in several magazines, including Country Living Holidays, 1998, where my antique Christmas collection was pictured. Blinkbonnie is currently for sale. Why not buy a wonderful historic home to showcase your collections! Email me if you would like to see the website I created to showcase Blinkbonnie's features.
Good quality and artistic design are reflected in the antiques I sell. I guarantee your satisfaction. I appreciate your business. I welcome your emails and telephone calls. I am happy to share my knowledge and experience with you.
