Owners Hugh and Janel Ponder Smith began buying antiques when they were still in high school. Instead of going to the movies or playing miniature golf for dates, they would roam the countryside visiting antiques shops and rummage sales. When Hugh entered college, he had the most unique college apartment, completely furnished in antiques.By the time they got married, Hugh and Janel had acquired enough antiques to open their own business, starting with a space in an antiques mall and later expanding to their own shop and then to their own mall in a historic building in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
Their lives have gone full circle, and 20+ years ago, they moved back to Wichita Falls, the city where they met and fell in love. Shortly after getting settled in their home, they opened their shop, Bluebonnet Hill Antiques, and have continued the quest for the next greatest find in the antiques world.
