Vintage Signed FRAGONARD 'Courting Couple' Lavalier Pendant Necklace
Romantic vintage lavalier pendant necklace, with not one but TWO porcelain signed Fragonard 'Courting Couple' portraits. One is smaller and is set into a slide on the braided goldtone shorter chain of the lavalier, and the second dangles 2 1/2" lower, the domed porcelain transfer set into a braided goldtone bezel. The pendant is ornate and scrolled, set with tiny faux pearls around the top. Both of the cabochons are open backed and in perfect glossy condition--no scratching or chips--with the larger signed 'Fragonard'. The chains measure 26" and 30", held together at the neck with a secure fold over clasp. The entire pendant necklace is in Excellent condition, with no flaws or wear noted. The pendant necklace is unsigned, but we feel sure this is a quality jewelry piece produced in W. Germany in the 1960s. It is simply gorgeous, ideal to wear with your favorite dress, day or night.
