A magnificent 19th century French fan, sticks and guards of delicately carved natural ivory colored material often used in these fine old fans (tested - not celluloid!). One of the most magnificently crafted fans I've seen in ages, this one has intricately gold/silver inlaid ox bone guards and sticks, beautifully preserved, and a hand painted paper leaf that is varied on each side. Combined, the result is a large and opulent fan you'll want to frame and display or even use.
