About UsWelcome to A Doll A Day on Ruby Lane!
I am a doll and collectibles seller (and proud "picker") residing in the heart of the Midwest. My goal is to offer to Ruby Lane customers the very best of my antique and vintage finds with a concentration on higher-end dolls, toys, clothes and accessories.
I always loved dolls as a child, and my favorite thing to toy with was Barbie. I especially liked collecting her friends, trading outfits, and building elaborate miniature "sets" on the floor of my room to make her world come to life. It's hard to believe now how time had erased how much I loved playing Barbie until a day almost 14 years ago when I pulled my own childhood Barbie cases from the attic and found to my amazement a new found appreciation for the quality of the Japan made dolls, clothes, and tiny accessories. I jumped back into doll collecting head first, which quickly lead to doll selling and haven't looked back.
My special area of expertise is dolls, but I also sell other antique and vintage "smalls." I have bought and sold dolls and collectibles and sold on a consignment basis on eBay since the early 2000s. You can still find me there by searching on my seller ID cruzn4toys.
In addition to selling dolls online and at shows, I also enjoy sharing my collection and its history with various community groups. Email me if your group would like information about how to schedule my program Old Dolls from Victorian to Vintage. You can also visit my website, accessible via my Favorites Links on Ruby Lane, where I've posted the details. From my Web site, you will also find a link to my blog where I regularly share stories about my finds and frustrations in building and maintaining this business of buying and selling old dolls. There is also a link to my Facebook Fan Page on my site. And you can also find me on Twitter @cruzn4toys and LinkedIn by searching on my name.
Ruby Lane Customer Testimonials:
"Just to let you know that my Cissy arrived today. She is very nice and as described.
She has a lovely face and coloring. I had to really look to find the indentation on the
back of her thigh that you mentioned, and I couldn't see the one under her chin.
She's a very nice doll in good condition, and I'm happy with her."
"I would like to thank you for the careful packing and fast
shipping with the doll case. It's been a pleasure doing business with you."
"I wanted you to know that the vintage Snow
White doll in box arrived safely and she's exquisite!!! She's
even more beautiful than the photos depicted, and I LOVE her!!
She is going to be forever treasured in our home. Thank you for
shipping so quickly, for wrapping her so thoroughly and securely
for shipment, and especially for your thoughtfulness and
understanding in letting me pay her out in installments; it is
all sincerely appreciated. You have been a true delight to do
business with!!! Thanks again!!! "
