Offered is a porcelain pitcher or jug, probably English, in classic rococo form in great condition. Decoration consists of overglaze floral decoration on a gray ground with relief molded body. This contrasts nicely with a very white body. This form became popular starting around 1830; the item dates anywhere from then to the mid 19th century.
Size: 6 1/2" to top of spout, 7" to top of handle. Diameter is 4 1/2".
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, or restoration. Glaze is smooth with hardly any crazing, colors are great with no chipping to enamels.
Early period antiques are quite old and frequently have signs of age and use and sometimes a small manufacturing defect or repair. While this is normal and to be expected I note any known issues in the condition descriptions.
