Antique Dore Bronze Photo/Picture Frame - France circa 1900
Here is an exquisite oval dore bronze picture frame. The top of the frame is decorated with a laurel wreath with bow and ribbons. The frame has the original convex glass and green silk. All in excellent condition.
The gilt brass back plate is scratched. There is a ring at the top for hanging. The easel stand is in fine condition. The back is marked Woodward & Lothrop, Washington. FRANCE. Part of the name Lothrop is missing. This was a department store.
When you take the back plate off by unscrewing the hanging ring there should be two tabs to hold the glass in place. One tab is missing but the glass stays in place just fine. Circa 1900
