VERY "BOARDWALK EMPIRE"!!! Scare 14k solid white gold Art Deco Hamilton Langley tonneau shaped wrist watch. Measures 1-7/16" (37mm) in length x 1-1/16" wide not including the winding crown. In 1933 this watch sold for $100.00! Stem wind, stem set 17 jewel movement. This still has the original glass crystal, and rarer still- the ORIGINAL dial (never refinished) and hands. Brand new black 5/8" genuine shark skin band. We only use HIGH QUALITY American or European made straps (NEVER the inexpensive Asian ones!). In exceptional well babied condition. Please note, any "pink" areas that you may see in the photograph are merely reflections. Circa 1920-30.
There is a stylized Art Deco monogram engraved on the back. The inside of the watch has the factory markings and karat designation. This monogram is period to to watch, engraved back when the watch was new in the mid 1920's. I believe that it may be "TCT". This is a very scarce model. I've been repairing/restoring/buying/selling antique watches for nearly 40 years and this is the first one of these I have ever owned. I have seen a handful but they have all been yellow gold, the white gold is far more obscure- and the condition and fact that this is all original including the dial, and also fully restored makes it a very special piece.
Please keep in mind these are antique watches and vintage watches, NOT modern quartz watches. They have been cleaned, oiled, timed, adjusted, and are running as accurately as possible. We do ALL of our own watch restoration. Over 35 years experience in the complete restoration of fine time pieces. We no longer take on any outside work. We only service those pieces that we sell in our own inventory and watches that were originally purchased from us over the years. Thank you to our loyal customers, we know that CONDITION CONDITION CONDITION is what keeps bringing you back to us and we appreciate you!
