Sugar Shaker Antique American Glass 1896

Sugar Shaker Eagle Glass Co. Antique American Glass, circa 1896, sugar shakers are often referred to as sifters or muffineers. This glass shaker is American glass, circa 1896, manufactured by the Eagle Glass and Mfg. Co of Wellsburg W. VA. This pattern is shown in an early ad reprint in "Victorian Colored Pattern Glass III" by Wm. Heacock. The shaker is the large size, 4 1/2" bulbous body diameter and 6" in height. The long neck has a beaded ring with flower tendrils extending down the throat. The shaker is mold blown, opal opaque glass with a high relief floral pattern.
