Canadian Red Trout, chromolithograph of male fish, signed Denton, mounted in wood frame with walnut grain, measures 15 1/2" by 12 1/2", actual print size is 12" by 9 1/2" and 10 1/2" by 6" within matting.
We have several Denton fish prints listed, all are signed Denton, circa 1902. Lithographs are printed on heavy cardstock. Actual prints are 12" by 9 1/2". These are chromolithograph prints, not computer enhanced copies, nor are they the 11" by 8" pages cut out of a 1960's fishing book. The prints are all double matted, using acid free materials, they are mounted in wood frames with glass covering. All are in excellent to mint condition, with exceptions noted. NO foxing, colors are strong with no fading.
Sherman Foote Denton was a talented and well respected illustrator of fish and wildlife. This group of large lithographs were from a 1902 portfolio for NY Fish and Wildlife.
Ready to hang, a perfect gift for fly fisherman or fishing enthusiast.

We were fortunate to acquire hundreds of prints at Auction from a print and frame shop that closed. These are NOT Computer enhanced copies or fakes. Most all are 50 to 100 years old. All the prints were either Framed or mounted and shrink wrapped. All the mounting materials were acid free products. All the wood frames, glass and prints are damage free. I seriously doubt that you could have a print matted and framed for under $100. Just to have a print Matted, mounted on foam board then shrink wrapped is a minimum of $50.
