Dark emerald green Gold Seal Gin bottle, a short squatty square "Spirits" bottle with a short and proportionally wide body and a neck that is approximately as tall as the body. The throat also has decorative molded bulge. In glass manufacturing catalogs this type of bottle was called a squat square bulge neck bottle. This one is marked REGd No 547348 on the bottom. Base underside shows cup-base mold manufacture. The square squat style for liquor appears to have been most popular from the 1890s on. Mouth-blown examples of this style typically date between the 1890s and National Prohibition. Bottle is 7 1/2" tall, has rounded square shoulders and sides. 4 3/4" square at the base. NO chips, cracks or breaks. See photos. Bottle has been in storage for many years, it is NOT from a dig or dump site.
See last photo for some but not all of the 160 old glass bottles you have to choose from.
We have listed a very large collection of very old glass bottles. They are mostly Back Bar Whiskey Bottles, Food Products and Drug-Store/Pharmacy bottles. These were all stored in wood boxes in the attic and barn of a old Vermont Country Store. All are clean inside and out, all are old. They will all be on sale at give-a-way prices.
