Syrup Jar, Jug or Pitcher Antique American Glass
Syrup jar,jug or pitcher, Antique American Glass, circa 1880. Collar is marked PAT APR 26 81 and MAR 28 82. Glass syrup is 6 1/8" tall to the top of lid, lid is domed and tiered with two rows of pattern, lid has original thumbprint( part of the lid). Glass handle is applied. The body of the syrup is bulbous with chevron pattern in clear glass, tapers to neck with rounded raised ribs. No damage to glass, which is clean and clear. Syrup top was applied with plaster which is standard practice during this era. It has darkened in color, again very natural. See photos.
