Porcelain Divided Serving Dish with Bamboo Handle made in Japan, circa 1930, dish is 7 3/4" diameter, four compartments are 2 3/4" wedge shaped. The arched bamboo handle is detachable; fitted to the dish via looping through holes in the dish border. The flowers in the four serving wells are Art Nouveau, hand painted, with slight variations due to artistry. Dish has a high raised relief molded floral border, 7 /8" wide. Porcelain is cream colored stoneware. NO damage, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Some crazing in fired finish.
A very useful dish that would be suitable for serving condiments, relishes, mustards etc. on a table or used as a decorative accessory, soap or potpourri dish. See photo.
