Pair Book Ends
Book Ends Antique Pair featuring a Child Reading with Dog at his Feet, made of Sirroco wood, circa turn of the century, set is 6 1/4" high, at the base 2 1/2" by 5". Excellent details, composition has the appearance of wood, they are in excellent condition with NO damage or repairs. Subject matter is very appealing. It is of a young boy reclining on an over-stuffed sofa, he is reading a book, while his dog is sleeping at this feet. The sofa has carving on the arm ends, sofa fabric is an abstract leaf pattern, outstanding detailing. The book ends are detailed on three sides. Only the back and the bottom are smooth.
