Wood Clock Dial, Early 19c from Pennsylvania Grandfather Clock, hand painted wood, circa 1810 - 1820. Now fitted with a high torque battery clock movement. The dial is from a 30 hour wood works Pennsylvania Grandfather clock. Wood dial is 1/4" thick , actual dial is 13" by 18 3/8" with arched top. Background is painted off white, with flower in each corner, a double arch stone bridge with village in the background is at the top. This is a well done dial and there was no clock or movement to accompany it so the dial has now been fitted up with an accurate quartz movement without alteration to the dial. This is an old original dial repainted about 30+ years ago. It is now starting to age. It keeps perfect time. A fine decorative clock for your country home See photo.
