20th Century Designer Occasional Table

Fine 20th Century Occasional Table. I think this table is so unique. Made sometime in the first half of the 20th Century. The style is truly classical, the top half of the column is fluted & below is carved with acanthus leaves, egg & dart molding. The top is seriously interesting, being a round glass inset into the top. The glass top appears to be of a silver foil back in the center, then amber flash around the outer edges with a floral design. The surface of all of the wood is in an opaque natural clay color finish. The condition is very good having only the minor age crack at the base that has been professionally secured. Measuring 27 ¾” high x 23 3/8” diameter of top. This would be a totally wild accent piece for any space needing a bit of drama!
