Necklace Garnet & 18K Gold

Elegant Gold & Garnet Necklace. I suspect that this dates from the middle 1900’s.The work & quality is superior. Marked 750 for English gold standard 18Kt & channel set with 22 glorious rich faceted garnets. The necklace is quite heavy .The chain is braided herringbone design that is so fine & so smooth to the touch ,the five section frame is attached to the chain by channels on the frame , so it is completely moveable as to just lay perfectly on the collarbone area. This is so ultra feminine & demure, so elegant& the quality is superior. Measuring by stretching the necklace out flat from end to end 16”, the frame with the garnets measures 6 ¼” wide x 2 ¼” long at the very center. Measured the way it would lay on the neck is 8 ½”
