Published in 1865 London by Hurst & Blackett 13 Great Marlborough Street. The Life of Josiah Wedgwood from his private correspondence & family papers, with an introductory sketch of the art of pottery in England by Eliza Meteyard with numerous illustrations. These two volumes are very attractive. Beautiful blue embossed hard board covers with gold & silver stamping. The condition is a bit rough although the front & back covers are good the spines are faded & torn & spine is a bit weak but all pages are pretty tight, these volumes are so worthy of restoration! Each volume contains approx 504 pages. The first few pages have some acid burning. Tucked inside the volume is a small booklet giving the brief overview & high points of Wedgwood. Again, worthy of restoration, the life & works of a rare man & his pottery.
