Antique Open Salt Pepper Shaker Cloisonné Service

Open salt and pepper shaker service cloisonné. The colors are peacock and sky blue with brass wiring. I can’t begin to tell you how finely the work here was done. I hope you can see it in the pictures. It is almost done in miniature – it is that fine! There are no markings what so ever – so I assume circa is pre – 1898. Judging by the overall look I would assume that that is correct. The fitted open salt is incredible and the little pepper shaker is in very fine condition. There is really no deterioration at all, no oxidation! Just normal signs of wear and as I hold this in my hand I can tell you that the feel is totally exquisite and rich – this is very good workmanship here! It is just a wonderful work of art. The open salt is 1 ¾” in diameter x 1”h and the pepper shaker is 1 5/8” in diameter x 1 ½” at highest.
