Dog Pencil Sketch in Frame

Here is a rather nice vintage pencil drawing dog portrait. The work is exceptional with tinges of pastel or chalk highlighting on the subject. This little guy has a wonderfully pensive face. Whoever drew this fabulous sketch was well informed with animal anatomy or just had a great eye. This sketch is housed in a very nice simple fruit wood frame with what appears to be a very expensive mat. The mat has an interior border of gold gilt embossing and it is in perfect condition. The sight size is 9” x 9” and overall in the frame it is 17” x 16 ˝”. The sketch is unsigned and is vintage dating from the early 1900’s.
