Fine Italian Painting Peasant Woman Watercolor

Here is an absolutely exquisite painting and one of my favorite things – an Italian Watercolor. I am always excited when I acquire an Italian Watercolor and this one I just purchased out of a local estate. It appears to be unsigned by the artist but it also appears to be in the original frame and matte which is very very nice. The watercolor is in very muted, all natural and realistic colors. I’m not going take it out of the frame to examine it - I can’t see a signature but it could quite possibly be under the matte. It is elegant, sophisticated and magnificently Italian. It is a beautiful large size subject with fine definition and detail. Overall it measures 21 ¾” x 29 ¾” and the sight size is 13” x 19 ½”. It was well thought out – a pensive subject. It gives you an overall since into this peasant woman’s life on the Mediterranean.
