Boudior Mirror Florals & Bird Repousse

Sweet as sugar a rare find indeed! It is a little casted brass or bronze vanity mirror with a gold plate. It is beautifully casted in a high repousse of scrolls and florals – with a little bird on a branch between the mirror and the base. The mirror is beveled and there is some deterioration going on around the edge. On the back of the mirror it has a brass plate which is embossed – Guaranteed 24K gold plate with the initials AMW for the makers mark along with the numbers 497. The base has had some repairs – the repairs look old and fairly well done and not noticeable what so ever. The mirror is very heavy yet delicate. It stands upright. It is just a delightful item for the vanity, powder room – anywhere you would need a superb antique accent. It dates form approx. the 1880’s. It measures 10 1/8”h x 6 3/8” at widest x 4 7/8” deep (base).
