Antique Mirror Gold Gilt Reverse Painted

Here is an absolutely glorious and wonderful antique mirror. It is American dating from approx. 1790-1820. It is all wood with beautiful gold gilding – it has a unique eglomise panel with a gold gilded design inside. On top of that you see a painted white panel with gold gilded carved applied scrolling work. All under the crest it has the beautiful federal balls. The mirror is in a wonderful state of preservation. Just the way you want to see it. Early and fine! There is a little bit of deterioration on the white and gold eglomise reverse painted panel but that it is fine that is just the way you want to see it – it is the original panel. It is very exciting – if you have Chippendale, Empire, Federal, Hepplewhite or Sheraton furniture this would go perfect. It measures 44 1/8”h x 24 5/8” at widest x 3 5/8” at deepest.
